Mark Hampton


Mark Hampton


Mark brings deep experience in technology marketing to his role at the Halo Agency.

As one of the founders, Mark is instrumental in driving The Halo Agency to provide innovation-based businesses with access to focused marketing strategy and flexible, high-impact execution focused on driving maximum business results without maximum costs.

Originally a native of the United Kingdom, Mark moved to Silicon Valley in the 1990’s. Since then he has provided direction and guidance since that time for a list of clients with diverse needs across a range of markets, from mobile technology and cloud computing to enterprise software, servers and storage.

During his career, Mark has run award-winning campaigns that have helped take many early stage start-ups from development of their initial positioning and market entrance through IPO, as well as providing executive-level guidance to established blue-chip corporations. In that time, Mark has led regional and global programs for Facebook, Oracle, IBM and Microsoft among others.

Anna Cahill James


Anna Cahill James


Anna has a breadth of marketing and communications experience spanning public relations, social media as well as market research in both the technology and clean energy arenas.

As a co-founder of The Halo Agency, Anna is first and foremost a trusted advisor to her clients, delivering strategic communications counsel. Her passion is working with companies to help build their brand and standout in the marketplace. Working closely with client's executive teams, she enjoys working collaboratively to develop the vision, values and position, as well as delivering targeted programs that articulate the story to the company stakeholders including employees, customers, partners and investors.

During her career, she has worked with companies both large and small. In technology, she has helped some of the industry's largest and most notable brands in the semiconductor, communications, enterprise software and hardware, and consumer technology space. For the past eight years, she also has expanded her industry expertise into clean energy and has deep expertise working with many pioneers and innovators in solar, energy efficiency, storage, and fuel cell markets.

Bob Wynne


Bob Wynne


Bob Wynne has 15 years of media relations and Fortune 100 corporate communications experience as well as more than a decade of award-winning newspaper reporting and managing editor experience.

During his career, Bob has directly managed communications for a variety of major corporations including Bank of America, Visa, Oracle and Siemens.  Additionally he has provided independent consulting advice to senior executives at Charles Schwab, Netflix, Lennar Homes, Starbucks and Dell.

He has provided communications counsel to senior executives and boards of directors through all manner of crisis, from testifying before Congress to developing and executing strategy for a successful hostile takeover. He has branded and re-branded companies and has introduced technology products ranging from ATMs to the Cloud.

Bob has covered earthquakes and airline crashes, interviewed Presidents, launched industry-changing technology products, and served as chief spokesman for CEO turnovers and multi-billion dollar acquisitions in both financial services and technology.

Kristin Canders


Kristin has nearly 20 years experience in communications, with a specialty in media relations. Her work has ranged across markets inside and outside the technology industry, including security, cloud computing, pharma, telecommunications, big data and energy.

Kristin loves getting under the skin of her clients and helping them to position themselves in a way that makes them relevant RIGHT NOW to the media, helping tie their products or services to national trends and news topics to help them become industry thought leaders in their specialty area.

Katherine Preston


Katherine Preston


As a published author and journalist, Katherine brings a breadth of writing and marketing experience to the team. Following a year of research that included hundreds of interviews, her book, Out With It, was published by Simon & Schuster in 2013. Running her own publicity campaign, she appeared on NBC’s Today Show and BBC radio, gave speeches internationally and ran her own social media campaign. Katherine has covered everything from technology recycling to celebrity interviews, writing for publications as varied as the London Times, Huffington Post, Salon, Psychology Today, Tatler, Daily Telegraph and The Week. Her work has included facilitating retreats for the Christopher Reeve Foundation and mentoring members of the Stuttering Association for the Young through the creative process of telling their stories.

Working as the International Communications Executive at an asset management firm in London, Katherine’s corporate experience began by interviewing fund managers for placed newspaper articles and marketing materials, as well as running the company’s relationship with rating agencies.

Todd Lane


Todd Lane


A 20-year veteran of high-tech public relations, Todd has produced virtually every type of campaign and document for public relations, marketing communications, technical communications, and social media. He has extensive experience in analyst and media relations with technology, trade, and business press.

Todd’s broad experience has enabled him to get clients an unfair share of voice at key trade shows such as CES, dominate conversation in their market, insert them into the middle of national elections and position them for successful acquisition among other tangible results.

Todd credits his success to his broad and varied technical background – which includes roles in technical support, professional services, and IT management as well as technology programming and engineering. His deep understanding of the technologies he is promoting, combined with his extensive practical knowledge of the impact of technology enables him to bring his clients stories to life and make them accessible to their key audiences.

Andrea Nieto


Andrea Nieto


Andrea brings more than 15 years of experience to the Halo Agency. She is a seasoned technology and consumer public relations veteran and an expert in media and analyst relations, driving speaking, and awards programs.

Her experience includes positioning and publicizing technology companies and consumer events from emerging technology companies to Fortune 500. Over her career, her clients have included Amdocs, Cognizant, CSG International, Gymboree, Intuit, Nokia, and Trillium Software.
Andrea’s family includes her husband, a long-time TV news producer and executive, and their daughter. Andrea received a BA in Communication from Loyola Marymount University and an MA in Communication from Emerson College.
